New Alexandra Grecco Wedding Dresses

Born out of her own bridal needs, Alexandra Grecco launched a bridal line in 2014 under her eponymous ready-to-wear label. Grecco's works embody luxe femininity with her intricate embroidery, use of all-over lace, and a smattering of floral appliqués. Her romantic looks are perfect for contemporary brides who love exquisite feminine details in more classic, cleaner silhouettes.

Effortless and chic, her bridal options are all handmade in New York. Not only is the brand fully size-inclusive, but it also offers several shades of illusion mesh to match any skin tone. "This is something we have always offered as a customization, but we are now making it much more accessible," says Grecco. "We are making sure our brides know this is something we offer."

Sonnet Collection

"While designing our new collection, Sonnet, I was thinking about brides who have held smaller ceremonies during the pandemic and then went on to have larger celebrations months later," shares Grecco of the collection. "I wanted their gown to still feel exciting and new, even after several wears. Creating a collection that would offer our brides the opportunity to style their gown in a multitude of ways, constructing a novel and unique appearance with each layer added, really energized me." From elegant matte crepe sheaths to dreamy embroidered trains and overlays, the line was created with layering in mind.

Poppy Civil Collection

Inspired by old black and white photos, Alexandra Grecco's "Poppy" civil collection pays homage to 1960s fashion while catering to modern brides today.

The brand exclusively told Brides, "Outfitted in satin, organza, and lace, Poppy offers a wide variety of styles curated for the fashion-forward bride. A large selection of dress silhouettes abounds, including a smart blazer, a swingy cape-style sheath, and a sleek A-line mini. Crop tops are intended to be coupled with a matching skirt or pants. Ruffles and bows are plentiful throughout the collection as are opportunities to accessorize with our silk hair-sashes and headbands. Fingertip veils are introduced to pair with the shorter dresses. Each accessory is crafted using the remaining fabric to ensure that the production is sustainably minded. The made-to-order collection allows brides the unique opportunity to achieve the refined, elevated aesthetic of Alexandra Grecco while sporting our new silhouettes generally not seen in bridal."

Alexandra Grecco 2021

Flowers were the inspiration behind the 2021 "Botanica" collection, designer Alexandra Grecco exclusively tells Brides. "This season we bring to you a collection inspired by flowers, which often bloom in the midst of wild and seemingly unfavorable surroundings," she says. "It's the enduring nature of their captivating beauty that can offer us serenity when we need it most."

The collection, which boasts not only gorgeous gowns but accessories as well, fuses clean and modern silhouettes with hand-embroidered details and luxurious fabrics.

"We are so thrilled to be releasing this collection," says Grecco. "It’s been in development since before the pandemic hit, so it feels extra special to have new beautiful pieces to put out into the world right now. The summer before creating this collection, Grecco vacationed in Italy. "One of my favorite memories was walking through an olive grove, listening to the crickets, and taking in the untamed beauty of it all," shares Grecco, as she talks about the inspiration for her Fall 2019 "Cloud Nine" collection.
