There’s no need to make the trek into Manhattan on the LIRR to find the perfect wedding dress. Long Island is home to tons of top-notch shops, many of which have been in business for decades. Whether you want a larger-than-life selection of gowns that could take days to sift through or a cozy boutique on a charming Main Street with a handful of carefully selected gowns, this 118-mile island has you covered. These are the best bridal salons on Long Island.

Bridal Suite of Centereach

This Centereach shop might be simple, but it has a massive collection of dresses (the largest selection in the tri-state area) at budget-friendly prices. You’ll find gowns in all shapes and sizes from designers such as Allure, Casablanca, and Maggie Sottero. But it’s the service that most brides love the most. The staff has been known to take pictures of you to see the dress from all angles and to throw in a free garter. It’s pretty clear why they’ve been in business since 1973.

Don’t worry about paying more than you need to at this Mineola boutique. Apparently, they sell at the lowest retail price the designer will allow them to. And they carry some pretty awesome designers including Madison James, Stella York, and Rebecca Ingram. The space might be tight, but that’s only because it’s filled with racks of gowns for you to browse through. Max Bridal has a “gorgeous and large selection of dresses without being overwhelming,” according to one bride.

Lotus Bridal

The bright and airy Mineola shop feels more like a spa than a bridal salon. Varying shades of white and grey cover the walls, floors, and display counters with only a hint of pale blue coming from the comfy seating for your entourage. Of course, there are many shades of white with the gown selection too. The perfectly organized racks are filled with designers like Allure Couture, Enzoani, Maggie Sottero, Stella York, and Casablanca Bridal. Bonus: all the dressing rooms are along the back wall, so the curtains open in a way that the reveal is truly a show for your entourage and the other clients.

Bridal Reflections

You have two choices of salons when it comes Bridal Reflections: one in Massapequa and one in Westbury. Each has different price ranges with the first starting $1,700 and going up to $10,000, while the latter has gowns from $2,000 to $15,000. But, they both feature designers like Rosa Clará, Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, and Lazaro in giant stores complete with private dressing rooms and red-carpet runways to show off your look.

Sayville Bridal

It’s all about individual attention at this Sayville salon as they only take one bride at a time. “To have the entire store to myself and browse through your curated selection was truly a dream,” said one bride. And they’re as selective with their designers as well. They exclusively carry Mikaella Bridal, Hayley Paige, Alvina Valenta, and Ti Adora.

Blossom Brides

While the Rockville Centre salon might be fairly new, the staff has over 40 years of experience. Owner Dalia Cohen wanted to create a one-stop shop for brides where they can not only find the perfect gown (thinks designers like Essense of Australia, Maggie Sottero, and Sophia Tolli) and get it expertly tailored, but also provide a large selection of bridesmaid dresses. “From the confirmation email they send you (with a questionnaire attached, so they get to know you before you even step foot in the door) to the warm wishes they give you once you buy a dress, they made me feel like they truly cared,” raved one future Mrs.

Wedding Salon of Manhasset

Sure, this Manhasset boutique has a large selection of upscale bridal fashion from Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier, but it’s the lighting to see those dresses that brides love the most. “This was the only place I had gone to where I could appreciate the dress with indoor and outdoor lighting at the same time,” said one bride-to-be. “A dress looks very different in natural lighting.”

Harbor Bridal

Everything about this boutique is charming from its location in the quaint village of Cold Spring Harbor to the living-room-like dressing rooms. While you’re able to browse through unique dresses by Lela Rose, Liancarlo, and Modern Trousseau, in an intimate setting, you can upgrade your bridal appointment to a VIP experience where for $500 you get to shop for over two hours to yourself. They also provide two bottles of champagne and a Mimosa bar, light bites, and 10% off your purchase.
