Doesn't time fly by, this is my last blog so I thought I should
tell you of the exciting plans for Bruce Oldfield Wedding, and
remember: you will read it here first!
As we have such a fabulous building at 34 Beauchamp Place and the
luxury of space, I thought I would try and make it a one-stop
destination for the discerning bride. The first service will be the
wedding list and I have chosen as partners two wonderful businesses
who will be able to provide the service and the variety of product
and price-points, that are necessary in such a venture.
As well as designing products for the home myself which will come
on-stream early next year, I have selected from Willer in Holland Street W8
stunning tableware, porcelain, crystal, silver and linen, along
with beautiful sculptural glass and Massimo Micheluzzi pieces for
the home - these are 'for best'. From Summerill and Bishop in
Portland Rd W11, I have selected perhaps more practical everyday
pieces which belong in any home whether you err towards the grand
or the simple, from a John Julian black granite pestle and mortar
to wonderful wood-handled steak knives by Laguiole.
What comes first - the ring or the dress? Answer... both at the
same time at Bruce Oldfield. I have designed a gorgeous collection
of engagement and wedding rings, which can be worn separately or
together. You will be able to choose the grade of the main stones
in the rings to suit your budget without altering the look of the
designs, which are mostly executed in white gold. This service will
be available from the autumn.
The idea is that if you like my taste and my style: simple,
beautifully designed classic yet contemporary dresses executed to
the highest of standards, then you will also want to surround
yourself with pieces that mirror it.
Thank you for reading my blogs over the last two months and have a
great wedding day!
