After a particularly short engagement and lightning speed wedding planning, Reese Witherspoon has wed Jim Toth at her $7 million estate in Ojai, California. The 35-year-old Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde star and the 40 -year-old talent agent became engaged last Christmas. The bride wore a bespoke Monique Lhuillier dress for the 20-minute ceremony which was attended by the likes of Renee Zellweger, Matthew McConaughey, Isla Fisher and Tobey Maguire, as well as the actress' two children from her previous marriage to Ryan Philippe. A large marquee was set up on the grounds of her home and decorated with candles and fairy lights; as the couple said the all important 'I do' eighty white doves were released (the re-emergence of a trend?!) Reese was said to have sent apology letters to neighbours in advance for any additional noise or traffic congestion caused by the wedding - an exemplary example from reportedly one of the nicest women in Hollywood.
The latest Royal Wedding news is that Prince William's stag 'do has been and gone, with a low-key trip to a Norfolk Estate with 20 close friends, including Prince Charles' godson Hugh Van Cutsem, and Eton school friend James Meade. The wedding cake for the big day has also been decided upon and will be made by highbrow cake maker Fiona Cairns. The couple have opted for a traditional tiered fruit cake decorated with their initials and the four flowers of the four nations of the UK. William is said to have requested an alternative sweet treat - a McVities chocolate biscuit cake.
