A replica of Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge's Alexander McQueen wedding dress was made within 24 hours of the royal wedding. Northern Irish bridal designer Mary-Rose McGrath created a copy of the gown, which will be available exclusively at House of Fraser.
McGrath - whose designs are stocked in House of Fraser Belfast - worked tirelessly with her team to recreate the dress. "I've a really brilliant team," she said. "We gathered together on Friday and the minute Kate stepped out we were sketching and began to cut fabrics." The dress is now on display outside House of Fraser Belfast in Victoria Square. McGrath's version of Kate's beautiful wedding dress, which drew comparisons to the one worn by Grace Kelly on her wedding day, is now available to order with prices starting from £1,500. It is thought that the original dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, cost an estimated £40,000.
