Top hen weekend booking site, Hen Heaven, revealed that the average cost a UK hen do is less than half the cost of going abroad to celebrate your last weekend of singledom.
The average UK hen do costs around £260 per hen, compared to a staggering £570 when you choose to travel abroad.

But still, over 30 per cent of brides-to-be opt for luxurious locations abroad. Coming top of their list is Marbella (of course), Majorca, Barcelona, Ibiza and Dublin.
While the home birds prefer Brighton, London, Bournemouth, Leeds and Nottingham for their final hoorah.
