Temperley London is re-launching Colville Mews, the original home of the British brand, as a bridal and evening wear boutique.
Opening for business later this week, the ground floor will be dedicated to the most stand-out and one-off gowns in the Temperley collections of past and present, with the sweeping staircase connecting the glamorous first floor to the new home of the Temperley Bridal collections.
The bridal salon features two private rooms displaying the entire Temperley Bridal offering including the latest made-to-order collections, the Classic Temperley Bridal collection and a number of ready-to-wear options from the seasonal mainline in white and ivory - giving brides-to-be a wide range of prices and designs to choose from.
Veils and shrugs; bridesmaid dresses; mother-of-the-bride options and bridal accessories including sash belts, tiaras broaches and hair pins: are among the bridal treats in store as well.
Nestled in the cobbled mews of London's Notting Hill, the 'Union Jack building' as it is known locally, has housed Alice Temperley's brand from its very beginning.
Back in 2000 Alice and one seamstress (whom is still with Temperley) produced the first collection from that same address. Last year the London label moved HQ to Mayfair's affluent Mount Street, leaving the iconic mews to be transformed into a boutique of the most beautiful of British brand's dresses.
New widows have been fitted to allow for more daylight to enter the shop, and the flag mural has been repainted with vibrant tones. The interiors of the boutique have been completely re-done and mirror the Mayfair Flagship with dark wooden floors throughout, Art Deco clothing rails and rich plum rugs and furniture dotted throughout in true Temperley style.
Colville Mews is certain to become a top bridal shopping destination.
