Hertfordshire Home Wedding

As soon as we got engaged I knew that I wanted to get married at my childhood home, Bayford. Despite my parents having both passed away, they still felt like part of our big day – the house was full of the most amazing memories. My six gorgeous bridesmaids and six dapper ushers all worked tirelessly till midnight the night before helping tidy and sort everything out. To guest our guests chatting, we made one person from every table take the carving board around to the other guests – giving them a chef’s hat and apron to add theatricality. Everyone enjoyed it tremendously! For a decorative detail, we hung lanterns around the venue and had a fire burner in the middle of the room to keep it warm. After a spot of dancing we served some jacket potatoes, which went down a treat! And all the money from the bar was donated to cancer research. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t have changed a thing.
