I grew up on a farm and had always wanted to get married there. When we got engaged we knew it was a perfect location for us. I wanted my dress to be simple & classic; my Maggie Sottero gown was a dream to wear. I also had the most sparkly Jimmy Choo shoes. My headdress was hand made by Lila which I saw featured in March/April issue of Brides. Flowers played a big part in our wedding; we asked our families to borrow potted plants. The result was a real country-garden feel. We made an archway of flowers as an entrance to the marquee and my bouquet’s flowers matched my headdress. We handmade our favours: lavender hearts with Liberty fabric for the girls & chocolates for the men. Later we had a band, we chose every song to ensure we danced all night. We also made our own photo-booth which was great entertainment. Top tip: My husband said "Think of the day in sections. Think about getting ready with your bridesmaids, then think about the church and enjoy every second." This kept me calm on the day.
