Stunning Simplicity

Surrounded by loved ones we married at St Nicholas church in the heart of the Kent countryside. Teamwork was key to the success of our day, we took the time to listen to each other’s ideas & prioritise what was important to us both. Together we chose to marry on a Friday so we could have exclusive use of Chilston Manor for our reception; it gave us privacy plus all our friends & family could stay over in its fifty rooms. Incorporating colour was an important aspect but we wanted it to be elegant rather than overwhelming. Dusky-blues complimented ballet inspired peaches & ivories, reflecting the light of a soft summer’s haze. Wherever possible we involved friends & family. Claire’s dad handmade the lovebird stationary while Steve’s sister tied ballet ribbons around jam jars for votives. Our nieces made adorable flowers girls who positively stole the show! The best decision we made though was to hire Lorna-Elizabeth who captured the day with breath taking photos we will treasure forever.

  • How totally gorgeous. Having been lucky enough to be chosen to provide the flowers for Claire and Steve, I can honestly say it was a magical wedding full of lovely people and fabulous family. Claire and Steve are two of the nicest people to work with and we were honoured to be involved and pleased others can now share their fabulous story thanks to Brides magazine.

  • A perfect wedding. I was honoured to be chosen to make Claire & Steve's wedding cake and I was lucky enough to be at the venue when Claire and her bridesmaids walked down the stairs. Claire was absolutely stunning, Steve looked pretty good too! I'm so pleased for them that their wonderful wedding has been chosen as wedding of the week in Brides magazine.

  • Truly a beautiful day, it was such a priviledge to be able to share the day with Claire & Steve and have so many amazing features and creations to take pictures of! I can only echo Amanda's words, Claire & Steve were such wonderful people to work with and I am so glad their day came together in the exact way that they envisioned it.
