Just the other day I was struggling to get any product off my favourite mascara and remembered an excellent tip given to me by the genius Frederic Letailleur, European Make-up Artist for YSL.

He told me that mascara performs better when it's warm, so to soften it up you should blast it with a hairdryer for 10 seconds.

It transformed my dry, clumpy mascara into a silken, glossy, smooth formula that literally glided over the lashes precisely how it was designed to.

So what if you don't own a hairdryer? Simply hold it under your arm like a thermometer whilst you do your skincare, base and eye-shadow. By lash-time, the mascara will be perfectly warmed up!
