MORE BRIDAL BEAUTY IDEAS, TIPS AND TRICKS

Funmi Fetto, beauty director, Brides

SAVE... Once I discovered eye shadow sticks I never veered from them. But I never actually wear eyeshadow, instead, I use these genius sticks (with a brush) on my brows. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick in Bootleg Brown (£4.49, www.boots.com) is my absolute favourite. I find pencils too harsh and powders too…powdery. And the colour is never quite right. These sticks however deliver the perfect pigment, a blendable consistency and really great brows.

SPLURGE… Having to deal with hyperpigmentation issues has meant I am now utterly obsessed with brightening the skin. While there are many lotions and potions that profess to even out the skin tone and give the skin that illusive boost, alas not many deliver. There are two however that are incredible. Zelens Brightening Serum (£135, www.cultbeauty.co.uk) and Bakel Malic Lightening and Renewing Serum (£90 www.spacenk.com). Not only do they live up to their claim, they work quickly and leave you with seriously luminous, well hydrated skin. Worth every penny

Francesca White, health & beauty director, Tatler

SAVE... 'I make sure that I have a Batiste Dry Shampoo Original (£2.99, www.boots.com) in my gym bag, one in my bathroom cabinet, one in my desk drawer… plus a mini one at all times in my handbag! It means that a blow-dry can live to see a few more days.'

SPLURGE... 'Self tan. The pricier ones are infinitely more foolproof than high street formulas. My favourite, without a shadow of a doubt, is Sisley Self Tanning Hydrating Facial Skin Care (£78, www.johnlewis.com). I actually panic when my stock dries up.'

BEAUTY GADGETS YOU NEED TO TRY BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

Alessandra Steinherr, beauty director, Glamour

SAVE... 'I've got so many high-street faves but my top pick is Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks (£7.99, www.superdrug.com). They're fantastic! The texture is super smooth and delivers long lasting and non-sticky colour. It's really fabulous.'

SPLURGE... 'There is very little I wouldn't buy on the High Street - from high-tech skincare to great make-up, it has it covered. But if I were to invest in something special, I'd choose one of the gorgeous scented candles by Cire Trudon (£62, www.ciretrudon.com); they're beautiful.'

Fiona Joseph, fashion & beauty director, Condé Nast Traveller

SAVE... 'I prefer a body moisturiser to target all areas and Neutrogena Visibly Renew Elasti-Boost Body Lotion (£2.49, www.superdrug.com) does that in spades. I travel a lot so my skin needs attention. The cream is light and very absorbent so you can put it on and get dressed immediately without feeling sticky.'

SPLURGE... 'Perfume is what I spend more on, because you pay for staying power, beautiful ingredients and balanced compositions. I wear Byredo Sunday Cologne (£88 for 50ml, www.byredo.com), the perfume equivalent of the softest grey cashmere jumper.'

HAIR & BEAUTY IDEAS BACKSTAGE AT FASHION WEEK

Nicola Moulton, health & beauty director, Vogue

SAVE...  Not too orange, not too dark, Soap & Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick (£11, www.boots.com) is just the right tone to make your complexion pop.'

SPLURGE... 'I would avoid cheap tinted moisturiser, because you can see the difference - they seem to have a dusty, powdery and pore-clogging finish. I'd go for Eve Lom Radiance Perfected Tinted Moisturiser (£48, www.evelom.com) or Crème de la Mer The Reparative Skintint (£65, www.selfridges.com).'
