Just 25 minutes from Malé, staff will greet you like old friends, with a juice cocktail and a cold towel.
The 74 villas, voted the Indian Ocean's leading villas many times at the World Travel Awards, are everything you'd expect from a five-star Maldivian paradise.
Tucked around the sandy fringes of the island or overwater, all have white-canopied day beds and an anything-you-might-need attitude - yoga mat, beach bag, flip-flops and packed wine chiller.
There are three restaurants: Lime for Asian-inspired meals, Cayenne for grills and teppanyaki, and The Lighthouse for French fine dining. And there's plenty to occupy you - snorkelling, spa-ing, sailing; you might need to come back to fit it all in.
WOW FACTOR: Take a sunset cruise on Nooma, Baros's 19-metre dhoni boat.

There are no gimmicks here, just everything you'd ever need in paradise - including a shaded day-bed and just enough mod-cons to feel connected to the real world.
Three restaurants offer delicious cuisine. And although there is seemingly little to do, we didn't seem to have enough time to fit everything in - yoga, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, spa treatments, not to mention a sunset cruise.
Wow factor: Sitting on your Water Villa deck and watching stingrays and sharks swimming beneath you.
