Charlie Bury, 31, married Greg Helmich, 34, at All Saints' Church, followed by a reception at Lake Barn, both in Binfield, Berkshire, on 22nd July 2017. She says:

I chose our wedding venues for their sentimental value. The church where we tied the knot is the one I attended as a child, and my niece and nephew were both christened there. Lake Barn, where we held the reception, is privatey owned by a close family friend. We loved having a totally blank canvas to work on inside the latter - the only downside being that we had to source absolutely everything ourselves (at times, quite overwhelming!). However, it meant that the celebration we had was exactly what we wanted.

I didn't want a dress that was trend-led or fussy. I wanted something I'd be able to look back on for years to come and still love. The Peyton gown from Charlie Brear was perfect in its simplicity, and I love how you can accessorise her designs. I wore a pearl belt and veil at the ceremony, then added a tulle skirt and rose-gold belt for the party afterwards - all from Charlier Brear, too.

I had seven of my closest friends as bridesmaids, and wanted them all to feel completely comfortable in their dresses. Maids to Measure was ideal for this, because they could each choose their favourite style, which were then all made in the same sage-green fabric I had chosen.

Creative and Contemporary, who created our order of service, signage, menus and name places, was founded by one of my bridesmaids. She went above and beyond to create the most beautiful designs and decorations, as well as helping me plan the wedding of my dreams. I would have been lost without her.

Another personal touch on the day was our wedding cake. We asked our mums to each make a tier for it, then had a local baker ice it for us.

Caroline Oleron of Cherfold Flowers was recommended to me by one of my maids. She is such an amazingly warm and enthusiastic person, and nothing was ever too much… Even our idea of hanging ferns from the ceiling to divide the room! It took Caroline and two assistants three days and to adorn the barn with flowers and we were thrilled with the result.
