Caitlin Bond, 25, married Anzac Kirk, 25, at Dunk Island Plantation in Queensland, Australia, on 5th September 2015. She says:

We knew from the get-go that our wedding wouldn't be traditional - we wanted a simple ceremony and a big party. It was a three-day event: beachside dinner and cocktails on Friday night, the ceremony and reception on Saturday, and a 'recovery session' (a last chance to party!) on Sunday. Dunk Island was an easy choice: Zac grew up there, and it's where we met. We chose the Lookout for the ceremony (the views are amazing) and the Plantation for the reception: we installed a recycled timber deck with pews, bar and an altar.

I didn't have a vision of what I wanted for my dress, but as soon as I tried the Cleo Gown by Rue De Seine, I knew it was The One. It's lace mesh with incredible hand-embellished sleeves. Te silk satin slip made a great afer-party dress, too! We chose flowers to accentuate the island's natural beauty: purples, reds and pinks. A foral arbor framed the view, with buckets of fowers cascading down each side. I loved what our forists achieved. Music is really important to us, so it had to be a big part of our day. My brother's band played, followed by two more great live acts, then a DJ into the early hours. Cue table dancing and stage diving! My top tip: Factor in the logistics of getting items - and people - to a private island.

We chartered a plane for the bridal party and immediate family, and we had our tables and chairs built at the venue, as transporting them was so expensive.
