Kimberley Bevan, 30, married Ben Bevan, 30, at St Helen's Church, Escrick, Yorkshire on 6 December 2014. She says:

"When I was younger I always imagined something intimate and magical, never a big grand manor house or hotel, so when we saw how the tipis could work as a winter venue, and decided on Ben's parents' paddock as the venue the dream started to become a reality.

Ben proposed to me in the post. He knew I would check the postbox the night before my birthday so I opened it up only to find a ring box sat in there waiting for me.

I love Christmas time, it makes me think of twinkly lights, being cosy in front of a roaring fire and spending time surrounded by special friends and family having fun and indulging in wonderful food and drink. That just summed up what I wanted to for our wedding.

One of our bridesmaids hole punched all the confetti from a copy of the financial times. We wanted blush pink newspaper confetti, to tie in with our stationery theme and colour scheme in one.

So that all our guests were documented somehow on the day, we put small notebooks on each table. One of the ushers went round the tables taking polaroids of the guests to put in the books. It meant so much to me to have a really personal record of every single guest we had at our wedding, which I know we'll love to look back on in years to come.

The ushers suits were chosen to match the groom, except they were a four button waistcoat and had blush pink ties and pocket squares. The best man wore a burgundy knitted tie and pocket square to mirror Ben's accessories.

My top tip: Do not believe that anything is unachievable or out of reach. There is always a way to achieve your vision, you just have to be creative and find your own way of doing things."
